Benton, Benton & Associates, P.L.L.C. is proud to carry on the Benton tradition of providing superior legal services to citizens of Louisiana.  Originally founded in 1918 by Fred G. Benton, Sr. and his brother W. H. Benton, the original Benton & Benton Law Firm began as a general civil practice firm.  Later, under the direction of Thomas H. "Tommy" Benton, the firm concentrated its practice in the areas of health care law, successions, estate planning, trusts, wills, probate and corporate law. 

 

In 2003, Tommy's son, J. Barrett Benton, became the third-generation Benton to head the Benton firm. Under Barrett's direction, the firm expanded its focus on health care law, becoming one of the premier boutique health care firms in the State.    In August 2017, the Benton firm and the Louisiana legal community suffered a tremendous loss when Barrett Benton passed.  Barrett's passing led to the first non-Benton, and first female, head of the Benton firm - Lyn Savoie, who joined the firm as managing attorney in October 2017. 

 

While we embark on a new journey, the Benton firm still prides itself upon its personalized representation of individuals and smaller enterprises.  We believe the Benton firm's commitment to providing personalized services to its clients has been a key component in the firm's success for more than 80 years and we look forward to many more successful years to come.
